I swear, does anyone else just wonder where in the world the time goes sometimes. I got on my blog and scrolled down at my last few posts, that ended almost a year ago, and it felt like I just barely experienced the moments caught on camera. Cameron and Taylor are getting big too fast, and I love watching them grow and learn, but dang it, can I just keep them small forever! I miss their one year old moments, but I look forward to big moments they will have in our future. It's a beautiful thing, this thing called LIFE, and what a beautiful thing it is to be a parent!
Yet again, I am "vowing" to keep up with documenting our lives, especially while the moments are current! I have a large pile of printed pictures that I quit printing in 2009 after Cameron was born because I wanted to go the digital scrapbooking way. I said "after I get 'caught up' on the scrapbooking, I will start digital scrapbooking". Currently I am three years behind. How do you ever get caught up really though? I am sadly overwhelmed, but I will get over it, and pull my head out and just do it bit by bit :). Anyway- how do you manage to stay caught up with photobooks? I know the digital scrapbooking will be much easier because I am so used to sitting down to the computer. So do you Blurb? I am debating to even blog actually because the main reason I blog is to document and end up turning those posts into a photobook. But if I blog 2012 and have "Blurb" do my photobook, then I will not Shutterfly/Picaboo/whatever that year because I wont have to. But Shutterfly is so much cuter, and easier I think? My goal is to dedicate 2-3 hours per week for getting caught up (on the last 3 years) and 2-3 hours per month on current life events and pictures- Blog or Shutterfly (I have not decided yet lol).
So I guess what I am saying, for my 2 readers out there, is that I am undecided if I will continue the path of a "Blogger", just in case you were wondering in these past 11 months lol!
What do you love about blogging your life/thoughts/family life?

Well, the main thing I like about blogging is just to record some special moments or thoughts that I've had. I don't really care if anybody else reads my blog. It's for me to remember things. I've actually gone back a few times to read through some posts, and there were times when I thought "Hey, I don't remember that happening!" It's fun to have a place to keep my thoughts since I'm horrible at actually writing in my journal. (plus writing a lot hurts my hands more then just typing on the computer) :) The only photo book sites I've used are Blurb and My Publisher. I actually really like MyPublisher. Very easy to use! I haven't used blurb to make a book from my blog, but I tried it once and it uploaded my blog really weird.... so I might manually go through posts and copy and paste them into a blurb book sometime. Those are my thoughts! I enjoy reading others' blogs, but I understand if you don't have much time. If I had kids, I probably wouldn't spend as much time on the computer as I do now.
I agree with the above. I don't care if anyone looks at my blog, but it is my journal for my kids and me to look back on. I also have my pictures on a private Shutterfly account for family members to get on and print off any pictures that they want. It also makes me feel better knowing my pictures are in a safe place encase we have a fire or something.
Ya, that's what I am sayin. I am debating keeping up the blag AS my way to document, or just start using Shutterfly completely for my photobooks. I hear Blurb is not actually as easy, or as cute, as shutterfly say, so that is my debate with myself.
I never blog anymore but i do go on to read others! I find I am way too busy nowadays to do anything like that so I know your delemma but in time I shall do it!!! Hahaha! Love your post!
My family blog is 100% for doccumentation purposes. I use blurb, but it is not the most user friendly. It is, however, the cheapest I've been able to find. I love my family books so much. Blogging is easy to jot down the little things- like what my kids say- and I love looking through my posts as I'm doing my blog and remembering all of those little moments. It's the best.
Glad to see you are finally back on to blogging! Miss you guys.
